Skye Mountain Cottage is situated in the picturesque, crofting village of Torrin, near Elgol, south Skye and is a very good base for exploring other areas of the Isle of Skye and Kyle of Lochalsh. Nearby, Amy’s Place Tea Room & Gifts has a variety of delicious home baking and tea/coffee.
We are located about 7 miles from Broadford, where you have easy access to further amenities e.g. post office, ATM, supermarket, chemist, pubs and restaurants. There are popular boat trips from Elgol which will take you to the heart of the Cuillins and on visits to some of the islands in the Inner Hebrides e.g. Rhum, Canna and Eigg.

There is free Wi-Fi available. Our aim would be that you are very comfortable and enjoy this beautiful, peaceful setting. Gaelic is spoken in this home.

At Skye Mountain Cottage you will have access to great climbing in the Cuillin mountain range and memorable walking to suit all. Easy and intermediate walks are in close proximity to Skye Mountain Cottage. You can be fortunate to view a sighting of otters at the lochside, golden or sea eagles soaring and gliding in the mountain areas, on route or simply from our home with the binoculars provided. We would be very happy to assist with plans to explore our area or other areas of Skye and Lochalsh, if requested.
